SCBA Summer Beekeeping Meeting 2013
The Summer Beekeeping Conference, a 3 day conference, features open sessions with top honeybee researchers, one day basic beekeeping short course, vendors with beekeeping equipment sales, local SC vendors, door prizes, and BBQ cookout.

We encourage you to bring the family and enjoy Clemson Campus. There is lots to do in Clemson such as hiking, fishing, rock climbing, sightseeing on campus, shops nearby, near by water park, and movie theaters.
Must See: South Carolina Botanical Gardens, Brooks Center for Performing Arts, Larry W Abernathy Waterfront Park and World of Energy in Oconee, the Walker Golf Course at Clemson University.

There are several options for lodging for the conference has is provided with many hotels in Clemson. Clemson Dorm rooms are close by and affordable.

Dorm Rooms Features: These rooms are efficiency apartments with handicap access. Each apartment has one common area with kitchen, bathroom and single occupancy room with single bed. You can rent a linen package from the school or bring your own.
Friday & Saturday Conference
Our speakers will include Bob Danka, USDA Honey Bee Lab, Baton Rouge, LA; Jennifer Berry, Research Apiculturist, University of Georgia, Athens, GA; Lawrence Cutts, commercial beekeeper and retired Chief of Apiary Regulations with Florida Dept. of Agriculture.
Several of our own experienced beekeepers will be making presentation, also.
Friday Night BBQ - $7 for each Person
Friday evening we will have a BBQ dinner, a horseshoe pitching tournament and a smoker lighting contest at Jimmy Howard’s home in Pendleton. This has become an annual event enjoyed by everyone.
